Fill my Glass

After you drink out of a glass🍸eventually, you feel compelled to wash it. You take the glass, inspect it and proceed to clean all around it. It’s now time to rinse the glass. You have to do this with care to avoid breaking it. Once the glass is clean, you hold it up to see if all the water is gone only to notice there are a few drops left… You can’t turn the glass upside down in the dish rack without spilling the water. So, what should you do? Just empty the remaining water into the sink you say? Sure… Let’s imagine for a minute that before you empty your glass you realize that those little droplets 💧 of water left in the glass is equivalent to your energy, your love, your time, your thoughts, your joy, your giving, your strength and your drive or your will to do. When the glass was full, you were able to give and go… Give and do… Give and forgive… Give and relive. Now, your glass is empty and no one notices you are simply exhausted. You are the super hero who never appears to run out of fuel. You are the one no body can save because super heros don’t need saving. Therefore, no one catches a glimpse of your fatigued body language. You are simply ignored by the needy pariahs gnawing at your glass to get their next sip or to soak up the moisture on the side of the glass by simply being needy and attention seekers, slackers and dependents of the sip and drink game. This is an unbreakable cycle until it isn’t anymore. Time to step away from the glass and refuel. Walking around on E is not healthy nor is it beneficial to your health. Get a workout in, take a 3 to 5 mile walk, hibernate at an undisclosed location for a few days and turn your ringer on silent, get a massage, go swimming etc. Rinse and repeat. Take as much time as needed to fill your cup back up. No one can do this better than you. If your fail to do it sooner than later, you may be one panic away from having an attack… Anxiety attack, asthma attack, heart attack or stroke. Take care of yourself. Fill your cup with love. Fall back on giving so much of yourself until you are completely refueled. God bless 🙏
